How do I work? How many sessions do you need?
Before therapy begins an assessment takes place, where we can work together to decide how many sessions you might need and what you are looking for.
First session - Assessment:
The work begins with a fifty minute assessment and this time is to consider what has brought you to seek therapy, why now and how you are currently affected by your life circumstances. The assessment gives us both the opportunity to decide if we are comfortable to work together and to explore what expectations you may have from therapy.
Whilst some people are satisfied with developing coping strategies and obtaining quick relief from difficulties, others wish to attain deeper understanding and exploration of their situation. We will decide together at the earlier assessment stages what is best for you to ensure that therapy is flexible to your needs and circumstances.
Assessment fee- the same as sessions
Length of the session:
The length of individual session is 50 minutes, sometimes it can be longer with couple's work (60-90 minutes). Group therapy usually lasts 2 hours and happens on a weekly basis.
Pricing starts at £35 (student rate).
All sessions are confidential.
I engage in regular clinical supervision. All supervision is undertaken on confidential basis as well.
Feel free to contact me if you have further questions or you would like to book your first session. There is no obligation.
